Homemade Chinese fondue broth recipe

Here is a simple and delicious recipe for homemade fondue broth, perfect to accompany a friendly evening between lovers, friends or family.

Ingredients :

  • 1.5 liters of vegetable or chicken broth
  • 1 cup dry white wine
  • 2 carrots, cut into slices
  • 2 stalks of celery, cut into pieces
  • 1 onion, peeled and cut into quarters
  • 3 cloves of garlic, crushed
  • 1 bay leaf
  • 5-6 sprigs of fresh thyme
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste

Instructions :

  1. In a large saucepan, combine the vegetable or chicken broth with the white wine.

  2. Add the carrots, celery, onion, garlic, bay leaf and fresh thyme sprigs to the pot. Season with salt and pepper.

  3. Bring the mixture to a boil, then reduce the heat to medium-low. Let simmer for about 20-30 minutes.

  4. Taste the broth and adjust seasoning if necessary.

  5. Remove the vegetables and herbs from the broth using a strainer, leaving only the fragrant liquid.

  6. Serve in the warmer of your fondue maker and start enjoying with your favorite meats and vegetables.

Tip: Make sure the fondue stove is at a constant temperature to keep the broth hot throughout the tasting.
